BRATISLAVA, October 12, (WEBNOVINY) — Within thirty days, the Cabinet will submit a report to parliament on possible impacts of the ecological catastrophe in Hungary and on steps the Slovak government has taken in this matter. During approval of the program of the seventh parliamentary session on Tuesday, this was proposed by the chairman of the parliamentary faction of the Slovak National Party Rafael Rafaj and parliament approved his initiative.

The opposition Slovak National Party (SNS) has expressed regret on Tuesday over human tragedies caused by the biggest ecological disaster to ever hit western Hungary and also the Slovak territory. SNS leader Slota criticized that no relevant representative of the Slovak Republic has yet taken any unambiguous stance to the tragedy. Moreover, the inhabitants of Slovakia have not been informed on impacts and threats ensuing from the catastrophe. He is urging the Slovak government to instantly demand that its Hungarian counterparts provide complex and documented information and list concrete steps to be taken to resolve the situation and punish the culprits.
