BRATISLAVA, March 22, (WEBNOVINY) – Representatives of the opposition SNS have accused the ruling MOST-HID and the non-parliamentary SMK, both representing interests of Slovakia’s ethnic Hungarians of campaigning among members of the Roma community to persuade them to claim affiliation to the Hungarian nationality in the May census. SNS leader Jan Slota said that his party would not prevent anybody from being a Gypsy, Roma, Eskimo or even a snowman. „Our wish is that all Gypsies identify themselves as Hungarians if they like and then all jointly cross the Danube and the problem will be over in both the Gypsy and Hungarian issues,“ said Slota. According to him Hungarian political parties behave hypocritically and the Hungarian minority wants to balloon is numbers. He underscored that if Greenland’s Eskimos live here they would be also encouraged to identify themselves as Hungarians. „What they want is annexation of the territories,“ he added.

Slota thinks that SMK leader Jozsef Berenyi has already acquired Hungarian citizenship while he only cowardly conceals whether it happened or not. „I personally think that he already has it. He thus should be sanctioned and lose his Slovak citizenship,“ Slota went on to say.

The SNS considers the superpowers‘ intervention in Libya an unambiguous act of aggression. He underscored that the SNS is not among supporters of Muammar Gaddafi but when millions of people were dying in Sudan, Rwanda or Cambodia nobody organized an aggression. „Now they are going to protect civilians in Libya armed with submachine guns. Some states have a mercenary interest in Libyan crude oil,“ believes Slota.
