Michal Krajcir says that the reason for removing the amendment to the Act on Support for Renewable Sources is the finding that the arguments are untrue and even mislead.

The Association of Producers of Electricity and Heat from Biomass is calling on the Members of Parliament to remove the amendment to the Act on Support for Renewable Sources from the agenda. The amendment submitted by the opposition suggest abolishing subsidies for burning wood at biomass facilities, except from the wood from wooded areas for energy purposes and the waste from the wood-processing industry. “The reason for proposing the removal of amendment is a finding that the arguments used by the bill presenters are false and misleading,“ said the media representative of the association Michal Krajcir. The arguments used in an explanatory memorandum of the bill were taken over from the representatives of the Slovak environmental association VLK. The association states that these arguments are untrue and misleading. “Inaccurate information and documents as well as an unprofessional proposal were, fortunately, disclosed when discussing the amendment in the second reading. The bill was postponed as a result,“ explained Krajcir.
