The Regulatory Office for Network Industries says that some salespersons of power suppliers are misleading consumers with false information.

The Regulatory Office for Network Industries (URSO) is once again warning gas and electricity consumers to be cautious when switching to a different energy supplier via door-to-door salesmen. “It is necessary to verify the identity of the person who offers “cheaper energies” to consumers. It is advisable to have enough time to read the content of the contract and valid business conditions, which are inseparable part of the contract, as well as the valid pricelist of the supplier before concluding a power supply contract,“ the regulator underlined. The regulator does not recommend concluding the contract with a new electricity or gas supplier under the time pressure. Some salespersons do not hesitate to mislead consumers with false information.
