BRATISLAVA, September 28, (WEBNOVINY) — Vaclav Mika handed in his resignation to the management CME as chief executive and authorized representative of the company MARKIZA-SLOVAKIA on Tuesday. After almost five years at the helm of the most popular commercial television station in Slovakia, Mika and CME agreed he would leave the post of chief executive of Markiza TV. Mika would pursue his own business activities that are outside the scope of private television broadcasters.

Spokesperson for TV Markiza Olga Dubravska informed SITA news agency that after Mika’s departure, the company will be managed jointly by the current management members, the director for television broadcasting, Petr Dvorak and the director of corporate affairs, Oliver Meister. Dvorak and Meister will cooperate in finding a new chief executive in the near future.

Mika served as chief executive at TV Markiza since February 2006. He replaced Vladimir Repcik. Mika (born in 1963) was chief executive at Radio Expres before he came to TV Markiza.
