BRATISLAVA, July 28, (WEBNOVINY) — The Slovak Defense Minister, Lubomir Galko, appointed the former head of the Ministry of Economy’s security department Milan Hudec as the new Director of Military Intelligence Service (VSS), the spokesman for the Ministry of Defense Richard Sumeghy informed SITA.
From 1997 to 2008, Mr. Hudec worked in the VSS as a professional soldier in various executive and command positions. Milan Hudec speaks fluent English, German, and Russian. He was born in Nitra, is married, and has two children.
On July 14, Minister Galko stated that the tenure of previous directors of military intelligence services has ended. „The current director of the Military Counterintelligence Service (VOS) Mr. Skuhra is no longer in office. He left at his own request, and the current director of VSS Mr. Sebo quits on July 15; also at his own request,“ Mr. Galko said two weeks ago.
