BRATISLAVA, September 20, (WEBNOVINY) — Slovakia will cooperate with Germany in the development of e-mobility. Slovak Economy Minister Juraj Miskov (SaS) and the Minister of Economy and European Affairs of the German federal state of Brandenburg Ralf Christoffers agreed on Tuesday in Berlin on forming expert working groups that will cooperate in creating platforms in this sphere. Miskov believes that Germany is the best partner for Slovakia for establishing cooperation in e-mobility. “Close ties between Slovak and German economies motivate us to intensively cooperate and create also a Slovak platform for e-mobility,” Miskov said.

Germany has the ambition to become a driving force in this segment worldwide. “We are preparing in Slovakia a platform for e-mobility and we would like to establish close cooperation with Germany in this sphere. We are planning to found an independent department of e-mobility at the ministry,” said Miskov. According to him e-mobility represents an important space for progress of innovations. “We want to attract investors with higher added value and boost innovations and development of new technologies. We would like to use Brandenburg’s experience specifically in this area of innovation as it has long-term practice in this field. It can be realistically expected that Germany will become a leader in using e-mobility,“ said Miskov.

The e-mobility topic dominated also the agenda of Miskov’s talks with Bundestag State Secretary Ernst Burgbacher who is the plenipotentiary of the federal government for business and tourism. Burgbacher confirmed excellent relations between Slovakia and Germany and voiced interest in starting cooperation in other fields as well, informed the Slovak Economy Ministry.

Miskov is visiting Germany on September 18 – 24 within an investment road show. He will meet with representatives of federal administration and administrations of individual federal states and leaders of important German businesses. He will take part in investment seminars in Düsseldorf and Munich and in a symposium on automotive industry in Slovakia in Frankfurt.
