BRATISLAVA, November 26, (WEBNOVINY) — The Ministry of Labor has identified more money-wasting contracts of the pervious government. The former management of the Central Office for Labor, Social Affairs, and Family has ordered an analysis with the title „Increase in the Level of Client Care at Office for Labor, Social Affairs and Family“ for EUR 636,000 within the national project, which was intended to improve attitude of employees at individual labor offices and evaluate their positives and negatives. State Secretary of the Labor Ministry Lucia Nicholsonova opines that the analysis was inapplicable and although the central office needed it, the state secretary called the analysis as “a catastrophe“.

“The idea was excellent. We would definitely need such an analysis. I do not want to be cruel but it is almost unusable for us. There is nothing we can fall back on or build on,” said Nicholsonova at a briefing on Friday.

Together 48 so-called mystery shoppers worked on the 333-pages long analysis drawn up by the company Developium. Attorneys of the Ministry of Labor are now seeking a way to open the contract with the company and claim back as much money as possible, since, as Nicholsonova said, it involved ineffective spending of public finances.

“Twenty millions of Slovak crowns were wasted on such [inferior] quality analytic publication, which was meant to help but is in fact inapplicable. That means we will have to elaborate another analysis,” said Nicholsonova.

The project was implemented in 2009. “It was sponsored by a personnel office and overseen by a director general. We continue analyzing the origin of the assignment,” explained Director General of Central Office of Labor, Social Affairs and Family Ivan Juras.
