PM Radicova will Address UN General Assembly

BRATISLAVA, September 17, (WEBNOVINY)- Slovak Prime Minister Iveta Radicova attends the Open Government Partnership forum in New York next week hosted by US President Barack Obama. The prime minister is leaving for a week visit to the United States on Monday, September 19. She is also scheduled to take part in a reception that the president of the United States will give for heads of delegations to the forum on Wednesday.

During her visit to New York, Radicova will have a speech at the UN General Assembly and will hold bilateral talks with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Serbian President Boris Tadic. At New York University she will lecture on the issue of solving the debt crisis in the euro-zone countries and on the future of the euro-zone as well. Not only students and countrymen but also sociologists, political scientists, philosophers and historians will attend her lecture. Radicova will also meet with members of Friends of Slovakia, the organization focusing on developing close ties between Slovakia and the United States mainly in the fields of culture, economy and security.
